Saw this fellow on my birding field trip this morning. He has got himself some sort of mollusk. According to my teacher, this is not a common seagull since it is all grey. Working on figuring out what it’s called.
It thinks it’s hiding behind the fence. I like the lines of the shadows and the fence post but I’m thinking now I should of cropped out more of the fence.
You can see what this guy has been eating for breakfast by the debris all over his beak.
The gull is not too discriminating on where it lands. This one is making itself at home on my car roof. Not sure if this is a Western Gull or Herring Gull.
Turns out the C-AF-TR setting (continuous auto focus with tracking) works pretty well. It pays to read the manual.
