Willie has gotten his family members in on the act. First, third and fourth from right are all his kids. Second from right is Bob Weir of Grateful Dead fame who made an appearance towards the end of the concert. He also came on with The National whom we saw on Friday.
He stands on the stage and films the audience so we have the benefit of seeing ourselves up on the big screen. It’s not just about the musicians any more. The people behind him also managed to score seats up on the side of the stage. Nice.
Had some serious audience participation going on this song. She closed with her hit Next To Me. Great show!
Here’s to a guy who sings “Roll me up and smoke me when I die…”
He’s 71 and still puts on a great concert. The Polo Field at Golden Gate park was mobbed. People were packed in tight but the crowd was mellow so it was all good. My zoom lens came in handy for something other than birds. I was using Aperture-priority and it bumped my ISO to 1600, which isn’t great, but I got a shot.
