Sunset From Grand View © 2014 Teri Vershel
If you live near San Francisco and haven’t made it to Grand View Park yet, I highly recommend you go. This is a park that highly deserves its moniker. I found it a few months ago and went back this week around sunset. The views of San Francisco are stunning. Here the cars are snaking through Golden Gate park on 19th Avenue heading towards home.

The colors of the Baylands are generally rather dull and muted. I find the landscape pretty in spite of the drabness. On this particular early morning, though, the light burst through the clouds in such a way as to make all the colors seem more lively.

Hey all you downhill skiers out there skiing on crappy snow, why not give x-country a try? The skiing at Tahoe Donner Cross Country was surprisingly good given the lack of precipitation in the Sierras. This was my first time on the Firewalker trail which, as you can see, was gorgeous.
