Lovely Morning, Donner Lake

Approaching the Pristine Shoreline

We didn’t get much snow in the Sierras in February 2013, but after a light dusting the previous night, we trekked out in our snowshoes to the Donner Lake shoreline and found this amazing scene. The lake near the shore was partially frozen and the snow went right out on to the lake. It was breathtakingly beautiful and very peaceful.

There goes the pristine shoreline. It was lovely while it lasted.
